ANSEF Competitions

ANSEF competitions are typically announced yearly, and results are announced about 6 months after that.

All applicants should use the ANSEF portal to register and apply. Applications must be in English. Each grant is for US $5,000 and supports a proposal with a duration of one year.

Information about the application process can be found on the ANSEF portal through video walk-throughs; more details can be found once one registers at the portal.

ANSEF mourns the passing of Vartan Gregorian, one of its founders

April 16, 2021

ANSEF mourns the loss of one of its founders and most ardent supporters, Vartan Gregorian. One of the best intellectual minds of the Armenian Diaspora, Vartan Gregorian (1934–2021) was a passionate advocate of education and Armenian culture. He was a historian from Stanford University, a professor at the University of Pennsylvania, President of The New York Public Library, president of Brown University, president of Carnegie Corporation of New York, and co-founder of the Aurora foundation. In 2001, along with Prof. Yervant Terzian, he helped found ANSEF and supported its operations for decades. We at ANSEF are deeply saddened by his passing, and pledge to continue to serve Armenian education and science in his footsteps.
